February 28

Halbrook Home from Philippines February 20, 2016

Dear family, brethren, and friends,

Having just reached home tonight, I send greetings and love to all of you.  It is especially good to see Donna, my best friend, companion, and helper!

Though the trip is always long and tiring, it is a small price to pay for the privilege of laboring with faithful Filipino brethren in serving God.  My life has been richly blessed by these brethren for many years.  Their faith, hope, love, sacrifices, and service provide great lessons and inspiration to me.   My part in the work is very small in contrast to all of the good work they are doing day in and day out, but I thank God for allowing me to share with them even in the smallest ways.

I send a fervent “thank you” to everyone who has been praying for our efforts February 9-25 and for all who have donated funds to help make the trip possible.   I hope to send a summary of the trip soon, God willing, and all donors will receive a financial accounting in the mail as soon as possible.

I always fall behind on email correspondence when making these trips.  Some of you may think that I have intentionally ignored you because you have not received an answer to your reports, inquiries, or appeals.  I have no intention to ignore anyone, but time is limited and there are hundreds of messages.  I can only thank you for your patience and understanding.  In the days and weeks ahead, if time permits I will view all the messages.

Meanwhile, I pray for God to continue to bless all of our dear Filipino brethren.

In Christian love,
Ron Halbrook
