Preaching in the Philippines and Japan, April 2 – May 6, 2025

PLEASE SHARE THIS LETTER ON GOSPEL PREACHING IN THE PHILIPPINES!
March 12, 2025th Year of Our Lord

Dear brethren,

By the mercies of God, doors have opened for my 90th preaching trip April 2-May 6 to the Philippines, plus a visit to Japan.  I am thankful to God for his servant Jim McDonald who led me to the Philippines in 1995.  He cannot return at 94 but still gives great encouragement and edification through articles and correspondence with Filipinos.  This trip will concentrate on Luzon, especially places I have not been able to visit for some time.  While reaching out to the lost, emphasis will be put on strengthening the faith and fidelity of saints.

Because Jesus Christ is also God, John emphasized that he is the source of life, who enlightens us to God and all truth: “In him was life; and the life was the light of men.  And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not” (Jn. 1:4-5).  Satan could not defeat this divine light and life even by having Jesus murdered on a criminal’s cross!  This light and life must reach the Philippines, Japan, and all the world!

God willing, I will travel from Louisville, Kentucky through Seoul, South Korea to Manila on April 2-3. The next day boxes brought on the plane will be repacked to ship ahead to various venues.  On the 5th James Paet will take me to Angeles City, Pampanga so that I can preach on the Lord’s Day at the Unity St. church in San Fernando with Archie Alarcon and at the Anao church in Mexico with Jerry Moral.  April 7-8 I look forward to working with Lordy Salunga.  Wednesday we will travel to Adduas, Paniqui, Tarlac to preach with Sonny Ibanez, then proceed to Cabarruguis, Quirino for the night.

I am scheduled to preach at the Dumabato Sur church, Maddela in the Quirino Province with Reneboy Maranion the next day, followed by a lectureship Friday with Willie Pastor at the Gundaway church, Cabarroguis.  Saturday will be a day of rest.  Sunday-Monday will find me preaching in the Cordon, Isabela area with Frankie Jacob:  Sunday at Cordon Der-an and Villaros, all day Monday at the Cordon church.

Tuesday we travel 4 hours to Tuguegarao in the Province of Cagayan to work in that area.  I begin the next day at the Abra church with Victor Sinon and at the Lanna church with Reymund Welba, both in Tumauini, Isabela.  A lectureship is planned at the Metro Tuguegarao church on the 17th-18thSaturday I will preach for the church at Baliuag, Penablanca, Cagayan with Alfonso Danao, then travel 4 hours to a hotel in Abulug.

The Lord’s Day will be spent at Dubeng, Bidduang, Pamplona, Cagayan with Robin Pulveras and at the Magacan church with Danilo Bautista and our Negrito brethren.  Then, 3 hours travel will bring us into the Province of Ilocos Norte, and a day of rest on the 21st.  I will work with Rolly Salvador in a lectureship Tuesday-Wednesday at a venue rented in Batac City because their church building cannot accommodate us.

On the 24th, I hope to fly from Laoag City to Manila and on to Cebu City on the Island of Cebu.  Lectures will be presented at the Cebu City church with Jonathan Carino on Friday-SaturdayThe Lord’s Day will be spent at the Balamban church with Cornelio Roda and at the Seaside church, Mainggit, Toledo City with Shamar Cajigas.  Monday we will drive to Bogo City to work with Roger Ramirez.

Tuesday I return to Manila to buy Bibles on the 30th.  The next day I fly to Tokyo-Narita, Japan to meet Kim Caa and travel 4 hours to Shizuoka.  I teach there the next day, then travel 5 hours to Gunma-Ken, where I will preach May 3-4 Monday we go to Tokyo-Haneda and I return home on the 6th, God willing.

Thank you for prayers and donations which make these trips possible!  This one will involve extra expenses because Japan is not a third-world country, but God will provide.
