Home by God’s grace
April 28, 2015 (11:30 pm)
Dear family, brethren, and friends,
By God’s good grace and providence, the 24 hour trip home from the Philippines was safe in spite of some turbulence while we were flying. Though my body and mind are exhausted, my spirit is always refreshed and lifted up by the experiences shared with Filipino saints in serving the Lord. I am always amazed at what they accomplish serving the Lord with limited resources but great faith. Their faith in God inspires me to seek a stronger faith.
Thank you to all Filipino brethren who help me in so many ways when I am there traveling in your nation. God knows how graciously you extend your love and hospitality.
I will send out a short report of the trip soon so will not try to recount everything now. It was a great joy working with Mark Mayberry. We rejoiced to see 61 precious souls submit to Christ by repenting of their sins and requesting to be baptized.
Dozens of unanswered emails are waiting and I always regret that I cannot answer them in a timely way. I will do my best, but please do not think I am intentionally ignoring you if you do not hear from me. There are always many duties with my family and the Hebron Lane church waiting when I arrive home, and I must give them proper attention.
May God bless us all as we press forward toward the goal of heaven.
In Christian love,
Ron Halbrook
