Philippine Preaching April 4 – May 2, 2023

Dear brethren,
For the 82nd time since Jim McDonald introduced me to the Philippine work, a schedule of preaching is now ready, for April 4-May 2, God willing. This will be a unique opportunity because my son David, will join me for the 8th time and his son Joel, will be with us for the 1st time – to put a fire in his heart!
Thousands of young people have been baptized into Christ. This trip will focus on “Young in Age, Strong in Faith.” Paul challenged Timothy, “Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity” (1 Tim. 4:12).
April 4-5 will bring me from Louisville to Manila. Thursday errands include visiting the moneychanger and repacking boxes with Elias Cruz and James Paet to ship ahead to various venues.
April 7-11 will be spent in the Bicol Region in southeast Luzon. I will fly to Legazpi City, Albay and preach Saturday at Pulanglupa Pasacao, Camarines Sur with Rico Ruado & Rocky Ruado. Sunday will find me at (1) Del Rosario, Mercedes, Camarines Norte with Jhun Layusa & JohnRey Morales; (2) at Brgy. Tres, Mercedes with Sammy Velasco & Carlo Palmes; & (3) at Purok 4 San Roque, Mercedes with JohnLeanard Layusa & Jison Agbuya. Monday’s appointment is at Sitio Iyawan, Brgy. Batobalani, Paracale, Camarines Norte with Reymond Señar & Rolando Moreno. Tuesday I will be 6 hours south at San Isidro, Prieto-Diaz, Sorsogon church with Larry Ebuenga.
On April 12 I fly to Manila to meet David & Joel, and Friday on to Cauayan City, Isabela to work through the 17th with Willie Pastor. Saturday we labor at San Pascual, Diffun, Quirino with Roel Arcalas & at Dumabato Sur, Maddela, Quirino with Reneboy Maranion. We join Willie at Gundaway, Cabarroguis, Quirino on Sunday, then David goes to the jail and I go to the Malapat church, Cordon, Isabela with Samuel & Emmanuel Graneta. Monday lectures are at Gundaway.
Reneboy will bring us to Tuguegarao City, Cagayan to preach April 18-21 with Rody Gumpad. Visits include Barocboc church with Edgar Lingbawan & Minagbag church with Jayjay Gumpad in Quezon, Isabela; Remus, Baggao, Cagayan Valley with Abraham & Sammy Paet; Metro Tuguegarao; San Francisco church & Lacnog church in Tabuk City, Kalinga with Randy Lamarca; San Francisco church in Rizal, Kalinga with Luis Nalog; Dagupan church, Tuao, Cagayan with Mark Daquioag; and Nangalisan church, Solana, Cagayan with Rody Gumpad.
April 22-26 will be devoted to the Ilocos region with visits to Magacan, Pamplona, Cagayan with Danilo Bautista; Banna, Binacag & Barikir, Ilocos Norte with Efren Ramos; Pob., Nueva Era, I. N. with Kelvin Molines & Christian Agapay; Caray with Condrado Daulla, Jr.; with Materno Sibayan, Jr.; Camundingan, Batac, I.N. with Hernando Ramos; Salbang Paoay, I. N. with Nestor Doroni; Escoda, Marcos, I.N. with Rex Bayaca; Cabugao, Ilocos Sur with Egdon Sabio; Baoa East, Batac City , I. N. with Rolly Salvador; & Calayab, Laoag City, I.N. with Renier Allado.
The 27th we fly to Manila and purchase Bibles in dialects the 28th and preach at Dasmarinas, Cavite with Noel Tanalas. April 29-May 1 the series “Young in Age, Strong in Faith” will be presented at Kapitbahayan, Navotas, the recently reunited church. The next day we return home.
