Church at Cordon, Isabela Province

Brethren at Cordon, Isabela Province

The church at Cordon, Isabela Province, has existed since the early 1970’s. American military men helped put up a nice church building, but in recent years it was literally rotting and in danger of falling on the brethren. This is a large congregation of 100 or more, and during gospel meetings it definitely has more at times.

For well over a year efforts have been underway to reconstruct a new and safe building. The brethren there have sacrificed greatly all they could, and Help A Neighbor has been sending funds from time to time as they have become available. It is still not finished.

Building at Cordon

Brother Domie Jacob (Sagat, Cordon, Isabella 3312, Republic of the Philippines) is the longtime faithful preacher. His son Frankie is also very faithful in helping with the work. Together they serve three congregations in the area.

I have preached here many times through the years and have always been well received. Once in a drought we had to drive two hours to find a place to baptize several people.

Because these brethren have worked hard to help themselves, it is appropriate that we should help them.
